Lucid

Urban Decay Lucid 24/7 EyeshadowUrban Decay Lucid 24/7 Eyeshadow ($19.00 for 0.06 oz.) is a bright, pinkish-white base with a green-to-blue duochrome shift paired with a metallic finish. It had mostly opaque color coverage that adhered evenly to bare skin and blended out well, though it had a touch of fallout during application as it seemed more softly pressed into the pan. It lasted well for eight hours before fading visibly.

The formula is supposed to have “high-pigment” with “ultra-smooth color payoff with maximum blendability” while being long-wearing. The brand is confusing, as they claim “up to 12 hours.”

The majority of the shades I tested were pigmented–semi-opaque to opaque–with the matte finish having the most variance. The lighter matte shades tended to be thinner, more powdery, and sheerer as a result of those texture differences. The more satin-to-pearl shimmer shades tended to be thinner, too, and they sometimes applied more unevenly or had to be built up. The higher-sheen shimmer shades tended to be pigmented, lightly creamy, and blendable with good adhesion.

They wore between eight and nine hours on average, which is solid wear time but similar to a lot of other powder eyeshadows for me, so it wasn’t extra long-wearing in context.

In comparison to the last iteration of the brand’s eyeshadow formula, it did not feel vastly different. The mattes seemed a little thinner and a touch more powdery, while the shimmers were a touch thicker on average with some of the more pearl-like finishes having weaker coverage and felt too firmly-pressed into the pan and looked thinner on, so they weren’t as flattering to wear.

Freak

Urban Decay Freak 24/7 EyeshadowUrban Decay Freak 24/7 Eyeshadow ($19.00 for 0.06 oz.) is a bright, chartreuse green with slightly more lime green base tones and warmer, more golden shimmer. It felt lightly creamy, moderately dense, and was slightly thicker overall, so it applied more smoothly with a dampened brush or fingertip as a dry brush sometimes applied more unevenly.

It had rich color payoff that stayed on nicely for eight hours before fading visibly. The color was more shimmery and warm-toned as a result compared to the original release.

Psych

Urban Decay Psych 24/7 EyeshadowUrban Decay Psych 24/7 Eyeshadow ($19.00 for 0.06 oz.) has a warmer, plummy-brown base with a duochrome shift between green and teal paired with a metallic sheen. It had opaque color coverage in a single layer, which applied well to bare skin and blended out well along the edges.

The texture was smooth to the touch, dense but not too thick or too thin, so it picked up well with a dry brush. It wore well for eight hours before fading noticeably.

Mushroom

Urban Decay Mushroom 24/7 EyeshadowUrban Decay Mushroom 24/7 Eyeshadow ($19.00 for 0.06 oz.) is a light-medium taupe with neutral-to-warm undertones in its base and cooler, more silvery-taupe shimmer. It had a less metallic finish but was lighter in appearance overall compared to the original release.

The texture was thinner, too, and did not feel as rich or as lush to the touch as other shimmer shades in the range. It had opaque color payoff that lasted well for seven and a half hours before fading.

Blackout

Urban Decay Blackout 24/7 EyeshadowUrban Decay Blackout 24/7 Eyeshadow ($19.00 for 0.06 oz.) is a deep black with neutral-to-cool undertones and a matte finish. The consistency was soft, more powdery (but also more finely-milled) compared to the original, so there was a little bit of fallout but it seemed more blendable and easier to build up, if desired. It had mostly opaque, buildable coverage that stayed on nicely for eight hours before fading visibly.
