What to Buy in January

  • Bedding and Linens — You’ll find deep discounts on sheets and towels for freshening up in the New Year.
  • Fitness Equipment — Retailers everywhere know people have new fitness goals.
  • Calendars/Planners — You’ll see major discounts on these after the first of the year!
  • Diet Foods — Going along with the fitness equipment, retailers know people are starting diets. You’ll find lots of great grocery deals on healthy foods and diet brands.
  • Televisions — With the big game at the beginning of the year, televisions often go on sale.
  • Toys — You’ll typically see a lot of toys discounted at the first of the year since Christmas has just passed and stores are clearing out their stock for newer toys and models.

  • Tax Prep Software — Obviously you’ll see some great deals on tax software as Tax Day approaches.
  • Luggage — With Spring Break being in March and people starting to think more about travel, luggage typically starts going on sale quite a bit in March.
  • Corned Beef — Because of St. Patrick’s Day, you’ll see a lot of good deals on corned beef.
