Amorita Resort kicks off its third installment of Bohol Eats (BEATS)
Panglao Island, Bohol – Now that most cities are gradually opening their doors to leisure travelers, we are excited to share with you that Amorita Resort in Bohol kicked off their third installment of Bohol Eats (Beats), a culinary pop-up series aimed to support the local community.
This year, along with some media friends, we experienced a different kind of treat. They sourced local food ingredients from different towns of Bohol. They created a concept of “the Gathering,” which aims to gather Bohol’s local ingredients and create a unique twist to their usual Boholano food. Amorita’s very own chefs have prepared us its best local produce to make sure we have a memorable gustatory pleasure.

The third installment of BEATS kicked off last January 29, Friday, and is an exclusive affair where guests had to book and pay Ph1,500 to experience a mouthwatering treat. Guests were able to enjoy dipping in the resort’s infinity pools, chill at the open bar cocktails while enjoying signature concoctions by international mixologist Kath Eckstein, and of course, the highlight of the night, a dinner prepared by their chefs at Saffron Restaurant.

They offer an all-day menu of continental and Filipino food favorites. Their drinks menu includes an excellent selection of wines, signature cocktails, and gourmet beverages. Going back to Amorita Resort will always be memorable because of their unrivaled hospitality and unique food offerings. During the third installment of BEATS, we were served with a bespoke 5-course dinner creatively prepared by Chef Sarah and her team. They were curated from small-batch vendors and farmers in Panglao Island, and all the ingredients used were locally-sourced, and the food prepared was sumptuous with an impressive plating.
For starters, we were presented with Bread – Petit Chorizo Sucree, and a bamboo shell ravioli, a sea cucumber salad with plum sauce. It was then followed with mains from the savory Duck Duo, and Red Rice Pilaf, a great combination and finished with a Passion Fruit torte on Peanut Kisses Gelato for dessert. A hefty evening indeed, thanks to the creative and talented team of Chef Sarah Melgar.
Amorita Resort followed strict and safety protocols but making sure the gustatory experience was worth it.
